Bairro Português: Petersham Food & Wine Fair on 14 March 2010

Free Portuguese Festival

This free event now in its eighth year welcomes all to have a taste of Portuguese culture. The streets come alive with a party atmosphere and the day features contemporary and traditional Portuguese and Brazilian dancing and music, as well as wine tasting, football demos and activities for the kids. The streets will be lined with stalls serving the cuisine of the Mediterranean, as well as Portuguese and Brazilian wines, beers and of course, sangria!

I always seem to find out about these events after they happen so this one is now marked in the diary. I unfortunately missed out on trying to get free tickets to the Jamie In The Park event on the same day so I've now got something to help make up for it. It was impossible getting online through Ticketek — congratulations to anyone that managed to score some tickets.

Loving your blog, the food reviews and photography are excellent.

I'm going to head along to the Portugese Festival tomorrow.

I've been lucky enough to have dinner with Jamie Oliver which was one of the best nights of my life, but I don't know how much you'll miss when it's an audience event.
